About us

Our philosophy here at The Investor Bird is simple.

"Help as many Kiwi families as we can, achieve financial security as fast as they can."

We follow a legally compliant and independently audited process to create wealth for our clients. The exact same process that has been used "in house" for over four decades, to help hundreds of Kiwi families build financial security for their future.

We formed "The Investor Bird" to create a comfortable space for Kiwis to talk about, plan & start taking action toward achieving financial freedom. Building wealth is not only reserved for the "elite" or those that are already rich, anyone can achieve it! You just need to follow the same recipe that others have followed.

We have the recipe to financial security and we want to share it with every kiwi family that wants to build future wealth, to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions.

I am based in Mount Maunganui and operate my business from a home office. I am a mother of two beautiful children, my daughter Olivia is eight years old and my son Mason is about to turn six. I am working towards financial freedom like so many of my clients and continue to follow the advice that I give my clients.

I know through experience and have seen up close and personal, the differences between families who have prepared well for their financial future and those who have not. It is vast and it is real! My passion for doing what I do is derived from seeing this great division. I receive a great sense of satisfaction whenever I have the opportunity to guide, advise and educate people about how they can close this gap by using the simple strategies that will help them achieve total financial health for themselves and the ones they love.

I studied and gained my qualification as an Financial Adviser while working in the industry where I acquired, grew and sold a thriving financial advice company in Auckland. I helped hundreds of clients start on their own paths to financial freedom by providing them with in depth financial plans which included retirement planning, investments, mortgages, budgeting advise and insurance to cover themselves and their family.

I love a wide variety of music and also love to travel. I am very passionate about health and wellbeing. I’ve run a few half marathons in my time and managed to notch up my first full marathon in Berlin, Germany. I’ve always been involved in some sort of physical activity since I was a young girl and competed at three world championships in karate. Most recently I have started surfing and love it. As much as I have loved achieving these things and pursuing other personal interests I have quickly realised since having my own little ones that their future and my ability to enjoy it with them are now my number one priority.

It is my personal goal to help as many individuals, families and future families to make the decisions that will immediately put themselves in a position that will solidify the financial security of the most important people in their lives.

Introducing Larissa Devereaux

I'm thrilled to be joining The Investor Bird team!

A little about me — I live in Devonport, Auckland, and am part of the Navy community. I'm a proud mum to my beautiful daughter, Sofia, and we share our home with Coco, our Sharpei x Bull Terrier. I'm fortunate to work remotely, which allows me to enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

Since 2021, I've been supporting mortgage advisers and assisting clients from all walks of life. During my maternity leave, I also completed my studies and became a qualified Mortgage Adviser. I'm excited to now be working alongside Rebecca to support clients through their home loan journey.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any mortgage questions or enquiries — I’m here to help!

Our process

Meet & Greet

This is where we sit down and get to know a little bit more about you.

We gather as much information as we can about your current financial position, what you own, what you owe, what is important to you and what you hope to achieve for your family's financial future. The more detail we have, the better.

This information is what we use to create your unique, robust financial plan or "road map" as we like to call it.It is to be used to help you navigate your way toward financial security.

Write your plan

As Financial Advisers we are able to take the information you gave us in our initial meeting and formulate a detailed plan according to your specific situation and your unique goals.

We take into account every aspect of your current financial position and map out exactly how you can set about achieving the financial security you want for your family.

Whether it's to pay off your mortgage faster or take care of tertiary education costs for your kids, we'll show you that it is all very possible with a few simple steps.

Present your plan

This is where things get really exciting.

We present your unique plan to you, outlining all of the specific goals and milestones you wanted to achieve. We will show you our exact methods, how to use them and where to slot them into your financial freedom timeline.

Seeing your exact numbers is probably the most powerful part of presenting your plan as it literally gives you a snapshot of your future if you were to keep going as you were before you met us compared to what is possible by implementing our recommendations for you.

Implement your plan

During this part of our process you will follow a step by step formula that hundreds of Kiwi families before you have used and benefited from.

Our professional, long standing relationships take away all of the guess and legwork for you.

Monitor & Review

You will receive our ongoing support throughout your entire journey toward financial security.Regular reviews and on hand monitoring tools to gauge how you are tracking are a part of our long term commitment to your financial success.
